Data theft of 40 crore users of Twitter

Hackers put the data of more than 40 million Twitter users around the world for sale on the dark web.

If Twitter wants to avoid fines by buying the data itself, otherwise it will be sold, the threat of hackers.

In today's era, it is no longer a big deal to have the website of any important organization or the video and audio tapes of important personalities leaked or their bank and social media accounts hacked.

Not a week goes by when hackers aren't leaking massive amounts of data from a server onto the dark web. On December 23, hackers stole the data of over 400 million users of the micro-blogging app Twitter and put it 'for sale' on the dark web.

The data put up for sale by hackers on the dark web includes the emails and mobile numbers of several important figures, including Google CEO Sundar Pichai, Bollywood actor Salman Khan, and India's Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

Hackers have threatened Twitter management to buy the data themselves if they want to avoid fines from governments around the world, or they have already offered to sell the data.

The hackers who stole the data claim that the stolen data is from 2021 to 2022.

Foreign media reports have quoted IT experts as saying that there was an error in Twitter's server in 2021.

On the other hand, there has been no confirmation or denial in this regard from the Twitter administration.

What is the dark web?

The dark web is a part of the Internet world where no ordinary Internet user can access, even the intelligence agencies of the major countries of the world cannot easily access this world.

It is a market where not only weapons, drugs and women are bought and sold, but also sex crime videos, sensitive information.
